Canadian Red Cross

The Canadian Red Cross mission is to improve the lives of vulnerable people by mobilizing the power of humanity in Canada and around the world.
The Canadian Red Cross Society is part of the largest humanitarian network in the world, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. This network includes the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (Federation). Also there are 189 National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies dedicated to improving the situation of the most vulnerable throughout the world.

Goal

The Canadian Red Cross needed a responsive website that would suit the user needs of an always-connected, multi-device world, and motivate and empower donors to give wherever, whenever.

Strategy

We created a responsive user interface, upgraded the site and implemented new, innovative online fundraising solutions.

  • Data-driven design informed by A/B testing
  • A custom module developed to import content for over 1,700 branch and service combinations
  • Content Staging during production for working on new branches of content in the development build while content was updated daily on the live site
  • Personalization based on geo-location and proximity filters, showing users custom data on the home page banner and on the Programs and Services pages
